At any Writing or Publishing 101 panel, this is something I try to stress. It's okay to write crap. That's part of the process of improvement. My first (and usually second) drafts are all made of utter crap. But it can all be repaired later, if you just get it down.

Plus, as you improve, what you see as utter crap changes. Things I would have been happy with two years ago make me cringe now.
